Uncommon Things to Remember For a Camping Trip

There is a list of obvious items that are essential to a good camping trip. Obviously we need a tent, camper, tree hammock or something to sleep in and keep things protected from the weather. We need prepare for an adequate supply of drinking water, whether this means we pack in our own, or we pack a water purification system and camp near a water source. Provisions must be made for our meals, our clothing, and our hygiene. We also commonly remember to take along a few items that will occupy our relaxing time. This might be a game of horse shoes, a good book, or some hiking shoes.

There are other items that we usually don't think of, but if we had them, would make for a much better camping trip. To start this list, we don't typically plan on being caught unexpectedly in the rain. A clothesline could easily come in handy. There are many other uses that we might need a clothesline rope for. It's just a good idea.

Instead of packing plastic dishes to be washed after dinner, just make it easy on yourself and take paper plates. They will help you get your next fire started anyway. Don't use Styrofoam, use paper. Also, baby wipes can be extremely handy. You don't have to be embarrassed in the grocery store when you buy them, you will appreciate you did. Lastly, remember to bring some bug repellent. The natural kind costs slightly more, but last longer, works better, isn't as bad for kids to get on their hands, and smells good.
