Popular Caravan Awnings

Caravan Awnings Review 2009

This summer 2009 has seen an upsurge in the amount of families taking a holiday at home, with caravans and camping holidays being amongst the most popular. Many people invested in a new caravan and extended their living space by the addition of a caravan awning.

Caravan awnings vary in colour, size and quality with many awnings actually doubling the size of the living area, of course not everyone needs one that large so it really is horses for course.

Over the course of the past year we have found that the most popular searched for caravan awnings on our website were Sunncamp, Bradcot and Walker.

In top position...

With Sunncamp their Active Awnings are designed to be easy to pitch and obviously come with full instructions and to make your life even easier poles and pole sleeves are fully colour coded. Sunncamp awnings include the Ultima 260, Scenic and Scenic Plus and the Ultima 390 plus a host of other popular models. So it comes as no suprise that this make is so popular.

Following in a close second...

The Bradcot Awnings Classic has been a favourite for many years. This market leader offers a 5 piece awning that exudes luxury. Benefiting from 2 Full Ventilated Side Mesh Windows for those hot and humid summer nights and boasting a one piece seamless Heat Reflective Roof all secured down with our unique Movable Pegging System.

Our Third most popular Caravan awning..

The Walker brand was founded in 1954 and has since then they have built up a strong reputation as the leading manufacturer of caravan awnings and tents in the Netherlands. Together with the motivated dedication of their skilled workforce and attention to detail, they produce an extensive range of quality products for the caravanner and camper.

Of course there are many underlying reasons why people choose a particular caravan awning, durability, ease of erection, colour, size, layout, availabilty and of course cost.

We recently purchased a caravan, and while buying accessories for it, we came across this book, it has been invaluable for showing us how all the different things work, and what goes where. It stays with us wherever we go. Absolutely brilliant.

We've been caravanning for over 10 years, & did buy a caravan book (but not Haynes) when we got our first caravan, but could never find the advice we needed in it. We have just bought a more recent caravan, so needed to know more about the water & heating systems, as they were different to those in our previous caravan. We ordered this Haynes manual from Amazon, & are extremely impressed with the detailed information it gives on virtually everything you can think of .We really wish we'd bought a Haynes manual before now, as it would have saved us a lot of time in the past! We can highly recommend this book to anyone who wants to do their own running repairs.
excellent

this caravan manual was much better than expected. We have a fairly modern caravan and it has everything covered that you would want really. All easily explained and clear with good pictures. As most caravans have basically the same things in them ie Trauma heaters etc this would be a good read for any standard caravan owner. An interesting read whether you are intending to do minor or major projects or just want to understand your caravan better. 5*

I bought this for my husband as a birthday present. We have a caravan on an annual seasonal pitch, and he felt that he wanted to do work on it himself should the need arise, rather than have it towed to a workshop. This book explains in easy to follow segments how to do various jobs, including annual servicing, and other projects.
