VW Camper van Inspirational Interiors: Bespoke and Custom Interior Designs (Hardcover) By David Eccles

Customer Reviews

Outstanding book in all respects
David Eccles has excelled himself once again. The book is a must for all VW camper owners. Full of ideas if you are creating your own interior. Published 13 months ago by Peter Young

By  Mr. S. Steward "Westy" (Gateshead UK)
If you want ideas for your own conversion or upgrade, and to see what can be done with these vehicles, this is a great source of inspiration. If on the other hand you are an anorak who just wants to look at page after page of dull 60's and 70's westfalia/devon interiors get another book. A few of the interiors featured are 'individual' to say the least but then everyone is different, which is kind of why people buy old VWs in the first place.

How to Restore Volkswagen (bay Windows) Bus (Enthusiast's Restoration Manual) (Enthusiast's Restoration Manual Series) (Paperback) by Mark Paxton (Author)

Customer Reviews

An excellent book, 26 Sep 2008

I wish I had this book a year ago. As an relative amateur I have completed many repairs to my bus and have had to do things the hard way and work out how to repair the bus consulting blogs online or asking people at vw shows for ideas.

This book fills in the blanks between the haynes manual and the body panel spares catalogues. It is not a step by step manual but the pictures beautifully illustrate how a total rust box can be turned into a solid bus with a bit of time and effort.

It has certainly given me confidence that all the repairs I have done so far are up to standard. Also that my bus will be finished one day. Repairing the bus still remains a challenging project and will require a lot of storage space, time, tools and effort. Loss of finger nails and prints will inevitably occur. The book also lists dimensions of door frames etc. An excellent book.!!

Best book for duffers available.
This book is great, it took me from knowing nothing about the VW engine (or engines in general) to having the confidence to do many many tasks myself. Buy this book if your really want to have a go.

The chap who owns the shop where I get my spares even recommended it without knowing I had got it and said 'he wished this had been the first book he had bought 10 years ago as it would have saved him many mistakes and alot of money' lucky for me it is my first book!
