Camper Awning

A drive away camper awning is specially designed around a tent that can be totally closed and left on site if required. On the back of this tent is a tunnel that is fashioned to connect to the camper, it comprises of a roof area that can be fastened to the gutter of the camper and two sides, the edge of which are generally elasticised and pull into the side of the camper by pegging them to the ground beneath the camper.

Many camp grounds do not have any means to help provide shade during the summer months. On a hot summer daythis can be uncomfortable to say the least.

Even on a wet day, having an awning on your recreational vehicle can shield you and your possessions from becoming drenched.

The principal awning on your recreational vehicle is positioned on the passenger side and could be the best investment you make.

VW Camper Awnings

The Khyam Camper Awning is one of the popular camper awnings available and they provide generous additional space to your motor home or campervan. Ideal for weekend breaks or long stay holidays.

The one shown to the right is the Khyam Ridgi-Dome Motor Dome Tourer and is just one example in their range. It is caravan or motor home compatible and creates extra living or stand alone storage space. Built using the unique Rapidex pole system, it pitches in seconds, only weighing 12.3kg.

Camper van awnings for sale

The Royal Traveller Tunnel Annexe is awning from Royal Camping and is a well tested awning having been tried and tested over a number of years. It measures 300 cm wide x 470cm deep (this includes the attachment tunnel being 100cm deep) x 210cm high.

With a structure of 3 fibreglass poles and a polyester fabric in two tone green and grey it is a light weight awning, extra support is added by two roof poles inside the awning, this feature and several guy ropes results in a stong self supporting awning.

There are two triangular windows in the front panel and a windows in both sides creating a light airy feel, all the windows have curtains and the side windows have mesh built into the upper half for ventilation, there is also a ventilation duct in the front door.
